Maryn Shanahan is a Marriage and Family Therapist and a registered member of the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. At Toronto Psychological Services & Research Centre, Maryn provides skilled psychological assessment for Learning Disabilities, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, behavioural and emotional dysregulation, and clinical syndromes. Maryn supports individuals, children, and families, from intake to feedback. She provides a detailed understanding of the nature, depth, and impact of symptoms on academic, social, interpersonal and other important areas of functioning.
Maryn received her Master’s of Family Therapy from Mercer University School of Medicine. Her commitment to working with children, adolescents, and adults resulted from furthering her skills in therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Play Therapy. With a deep understanding of the systemic culture within a family, Maryn is skilled in helping clients experiencing a myriad of challenges concerning risk management, crisis intervention and management, varying concurrent mental health diagnoses, addiction, relationship conflict, and conflict resolution.
