Kirti Singh is a skilled therapist and internationally certified professional coach with over nine years of experience supporting individuals, couples, families, and groups. Her therapeutic approach is integrative, evidence-based, and grounded in empathy. Drawing on cognitive-behavioural, emotion-focused, mindfulness-based, and gestalt-informed interventions, Kirti helps clients build insight, self-acceptance, and meaningful change.
Kirti holds a Master’s degree in Applied Psychology (2015) and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology (2010). She is a Professional Certified Coach through the International Coaching Federation and serves as teaching faculty at the Gestalt Institute of Cleveland. In her parallel work as a coach, Kirti supports mid- to senior-level leaders, offering nuanced guidance at the intersection of mental health and professional development.
Having lived and worked in Canada, the United States, and India, Kirti brings a culturally attuned lens to her clinical work. She has led workshops and facilitated panels on cross-cultural therapy, including at the 2018 International Conference of the Association for the Advancement of Gestalt Therapy. Kirti is deeply committed to inclusive, anti-oppressive care and is known for creating a safe, welcoming space where clients feel deeply seen and respected.
At Toronto Psychological Services & Research Centre (TPSRC), Kirti provides supervised therapy services across a wide range of client concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions. She works especially well with clients who may not meet diagnostic criteria but are seeking support in changing behaviours that interfere with their goals, such as chronic avoidance or impulsivity. Kirti also supports clients with social anxiety, body image concerns, or shame-related issues that affect self-disclosure and interpersonal closeness.
Her couples therapy work focuses on enhancing communication, resolving conflict, deepening intimacy, and—when needed—supporting partners through a respectful separation process. Kirti is also a member of TPSRC’s reunification therapy team. In addition, she provides life skills coaching to neurodiverse clients with ADHD and high functioning ASD. She also facilitates group programs at TPRSC for clients with ASD, ADHD, and anxiety, and for those struggling with executive functioning and emotional regulation concerns.
Clients often describe Kirti as warm, thoughtful, and grounded. Her structured yet deeply human approach makes her especially well-suited to clients navigating shame, trauma, and sensitive identity concerns. Kirti’s clinical work is supervised by Registered Psychologist, Ghia Townsend, MSc. C. Psych. PsyD.
