Jancy, director of Toronto Psychological Services, is a member of the College of Psychologists of Ontario. She is registered in three areas:
Counselling Psychology (all ages): She enjoys counselling adults, couples and teens concerning a wide range of problems in living. Jancy has specialized training in treating children / adolescents using either play therapy and/or counselling.
School Psychology (elementary, high school, university/college): Jancy provides skilled psychological assessment for Learning Disabilities, developmental delay, attention, ADHD, behaviour, PDD (Autism/Aspergers).
Clinical Psychology (birth to 21 years): Jancy assesses and treats emotional problems of children and teens such as anxiety, depression, social difficulties, behaviour, anger, parental separation/divorce and many other issues.
As well, she provides clinical supervision for the IBI program. Services limited to English
Sarah has a Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology from McGill University. As well, she has completed the one-year Clinical Extern Training Program, offered through the University of Toronto and the Hincks-Dellcrest Centre. The certificate program focused exclusively on brief and narrative therapy with children and families.
Sarah is a Certified Canadian Counsellor and is currently completing the requirements for registration with the College of Psychologists of Ontario in the areas of Counselling Psychology, Clinical Psychology, and School Psychology.
Sarah offers counselling and play therapy to toddlers, children and adolescents. In addition, she provides skilled psychological assessments for attention, Learning Disabilities, ADHD, and giftedness.
Joan has over 30 years of experience providing individual and relationship counselling and sex therapy to individual adults and couples. She is a Registered Psychotherapist and a member of the Ontario Association for Marriage and Family Therapy. As well, she is a registered member of the Board of Examiners of Sex Therapists and Counsellors in Ontario.
Joan’s approach is inclusive to men, women, heterosexual, and gay/lesbian and transgender people. Joan provides counselling services in west Toronto and Oakville. She provides services in English. Services covered by workplace benefits.
Maryn has a Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Mercer University School of Medicine, in Macon, Georgia. As well, she has completed the intensive one-year Clinical Extern Training Program offered through the University of Toronto and the Hincks-Dellcrest Centre. The 2015 certificate program focused exclusively on brief and narrative therapy with children and families. Maryn is a Certified Canadian Counsellor. As well, she is seeking registration as a Psychotherapist in Ontario.
At Toronto Psychological Services, as a full family practitioner, Maryn provides treatment to toddlers, children, adolescents, parents, adults and couples. With a deep understanding of the systemic culture within a family, Maryn is skilled in helping clients experiencing a myriad of issues concerning risk management, crisis intervention and management, varying concurrent mental health diagnoses, addiction, relationship conflict, and conflict resolution.
In addition to counselling and play therapy, Maryn is a skilled psychometrist. Services limited to English
Paula has a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology from Adler University, in Vancouver. She also earned a Bachelor’s (Hons.) in Psychology from York University, and a Certificate in Rehabilitation Services from the two-year York University/Seneca College joint program.
Paula is a Canadian Certified Counsellor and a professional member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association in good standing. Currently, she is seeking registration with the College of Psychologists of Ontario. She enjoys working with children, adolescents, adults, and couples.
Winnie holds a Master’s degree in Applied Psychology from Laurentian University. She also obtained a Bachelor’s (Hons.) degree in Psychology from the University of St Andrews, Scotland. She is currently seeking registration with the College of Psychologists of Ontario.
Winnie offers counselling to adolescents and adults. She believes that as humans, we are all experts in our own lives. As such, she focuses on working with the clients to guide them to achieve their goals. She adopts the cognitive-behavioural model in counselling, but also believes in the strengths of emotion-focused therapy. She also provides psychological assessments.
Services are limited to English, Mandarin and Malay.
Laura, Office Manager & Intake Administrator is your primary contact person when you telephone or email Toronto Psychological Services. Laura will answer your questions regarding our clinical services and guide you to the appropriate therapist best suited to your requirements. She is committed to ensuring clients feel welcome while maintaining their privacy and is available to take your calls Monday to Thursday from 10-6 and Friday from 9-4. Laura has 20+ years of exceptional managerial experience. Service limited to English.
Lori manages all the financial transactions/bookkeeping related to the smooth running of the TPS clinic. She is committed to meeting the needs of our clients by scheduling appointments and responding to inquiries.
